The American Battle Monuments Commission, guardian of America’s overseas commemorative cemeteries and memorials, honors the service, achievements and sacrifice of U.S. Armed Forces. Aperture produced two signature films and a wide variety of animation and environmental media for two iconic WWII ABMC cemeteries – the Cambridge American Cemetery in England, and the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Italy.

With the use of stunning cinematography, cutting-edge computer animations, and dynamic archival sequences, the films tell harrowing stories of courage while honoring the lives of U.S. Service Members who died overseas in World War II. To bring these hallowed grounds to life and create a powerful visual link, the films utilize specialized techniques that connect the audience to the dramatic stories of sacrifice represented by each of the headstones in these military cemeteries.
